Description

West Kerr Ranch is a family-owned operation running 10,500 acres of game-fenced Edwards Plateau country near Mountain Home, Texas. The Kana family has managed the property under a dedicated wildlife program for over two decades, and it shows — the whitetail herd is strong, and the exotic population covers a solid spread of species including axis, fallow, aoudad, elk, blackbuck, sika, scimitar-horned oryx, and mouflon rams.

Whitetail hunts run from blinds and feeders during season. Exotics can be hunted year-round through a combination of blind hunting, safari-style vehicle pursuits, and spot-and-stalk — your guide picks the right approach based on conditions. Spring turkey season brings out Rio Grande birds across the property. The Hill Country setting is hard to beat, with wildflowers covering the hunting pastures in a wet spring.
