Water Valley Lodge

Water Valley Lodge runs guided whitetail, turkey, and hog hunts on family-owned land in Choctaw County, in Alabama’s Black Belt region near Gilbertown. The property mixes clear cuts, winter food plots, hardwood stands, pine plantations, swamp bottoms, and timbered hills, giving hunters real variety depending on the season; whitetail runs mid-October through mid-February, with hogs and predators huntable year-round. A 17,000-square-foot lodge anchors the operation, with private guest rooms and baths, a dining hall built around a stone fireplace, a recreation room with billiards and a big-screen TV, and porches lined with rocking chairs. Handicap-accessible rooms and satellite television are also available. Beyond hunting, the lodge doubles as a retreat venue, hosting corporate meetings and seminars year-round. It’s a full-service Black Belt operation built for hunters and non-hunters alike.
