Prairie Wildlife runs upland bird and whitetail hunts across wooded ground in Mississippi’s Black Prairie region near West Point. Quail and pheasant are the headline species, the property is an Orvis-Endorsed Wingshooting Lodge and was named Orvis’s Wingshooting Lodge of the Year in 2020, alongside whitetail deer, turkey, waterfowl, and dove for hunters looking for more than bird hunting alone. European-style shoots and mixed-bag hunts are both offered, with bow, rifle, and muzzleloader options for deer season. Lodging is split across several named houses on the property, the Bryan Lodge, Ann’s Cottage, Pleasant Home, and Kathy’s Hill, with a conference room available for groups mixing business with the trip. Beyond the field, the property runs a pro shop, a clay and helice shooting course, private wingshooting lessons, Land Rover off-road outings, fishing, and massage services. It’s built as much for a multi-day destination as for a single hunt.
