Dry Lake Hunting Service - Waterfowl hunting in Arkansas
Dry Lake Hunting Service - Waterfowl hunting in Arkansas

Description

Dry Lake Hunting Service is a family-owned operation running guided duck hunts across two farms totaling roughly 3,200 acres near Lodges Corner, just south of Stuttgart, Arkansas and two miles from Bayou Meto Wildlife Management Area. The property sits surrounded by 20,000 acres of additional agricultural ground and borders the 30,000-acre Bayou Meto flooded green timber refuge. Eight duck pits and one slough blind are spread across the farms, each pit built to hold up to six hunters, with roughly 250 decoys set per field and a progressive-flooding strategy used through the season. The family maintains 35 to 55 acres of unharvested standing crops annually specifically to hold birds. A lodge built in 2005 anchors the operation, and guides handle transport to blinds, dog retrieval, and calling assistance, with guests welcome to bring their own dogs. After 25-plus years in business, this is one of the longer-running family operations working the Bayou Meto corridor.
