Blackwell Bend Hunting Lodge

Blackwell Bend Hunting Lodge is a whitetail deer outfitter on more than 2,000 acres of hardwoods, planted pines, and 28 planted green fields along the Alabama River near Selma. The operation has run bow-exclusive hunts for more than 15 years, producing consistent 120-140 class bucks through a dedicated trophy management approach, with a strictly limited gun season capped at five hunters at a time. Hunting groups run up to five people per booking, with 3-, 5-, and 7-day package options available. On-site lodging includes a main lodge and cabins with beds, a kitchen, hot and cold water, and heat, giving hunters a comfortable base along the river. With river frontage, planted fields, and a management program built around bow hunting first, Blackwell Bend offers a different kind of Black Belt whitetail experience than the area’s high-fence operations.
