Lodge at Chama

The Lodge at Chama is a private hunting and fishing operation in Chama, New Mexico, situated on 36,000 acres owned by the Jicarilla Apache Nation and operated as Chama Land & Cattle Company. The property combines a 6,000-acre high-fence trophy elk park with nearly 30,000 acres of free-range terrain across high valleys, ridges, and canyons. Hunts target Rocky Mountain elk, mule deer, and Merriam’s turkey, with weapon options including bow, rifle, muzzleloader, and shotgun. Guided hunts pair each hunter with a dedicated guide and include gourmet meals and lodging in the 27,000-square-foot main lodge, plus access to guided trout fishing on nearby waters. Hunting groups are capped at 10 hunters.
