Golden Triangle Whitetail - Turkey, Whitetail hunting in Illinois

Description

Golden Triangle Whitetail runs fully guided deer and turkey hunts across more than 13,000 acres of farmland spanning Pike, Brown, Adams, and Schuyler counties in west-central Illinois. The operation has been working this specific ground since 1998, with guides, who don’t hunt themselves, assigned to 800-to-1,000-acre tracts and working the same properties year after year to build a real read on deer movement. More than 500 tree stands and 125 box blinds sit across 300-plus acres of food plots spread over 100-plus locations, and hunters go out in small groups of two to three per guide. No hunting is allowed before the third week of October except for youth hunters, protecting the rut for paying clients, and any buck harvested has to clear a 140-inch minimum. Ninety-one Boone & Crockett bucks have come off this property, and more than 70 percent of hunters return in following years.
