Hawkins Ridge Lodge
Description
Hawkins Ridge Lodge has run guided whitetail and turkey hunts on 7,000 acres near Eufaula, Alabama, since 1987, still family-owned and operated by Craig Hawkins. The property mixes hardwoods, clear cuts, planted pines, power-line corridors, and food plots, giving guides plenty of terrain to match to a hunter’s style. The lodge caps the number of hunters it takes each season to keep the experience personal, with semi-private bedrooms and private baths, a den built around a fireplace and sectional sofas, and porches and decks for downtime between sits. Three hot buffet meals run daily, with snacks and bottled water sent along for the field, and daily maid service keeps rooms turned over between guests. Professional guides handle field transportation and game care, including taxidermist prep after the harvest. Four decades in, this is a long-running, small-scale Black Belt operation built around consistency rather than volume.
