Tallahatchie Hunts - Waterfowl, Whitetail hunting in Mississippi

Description

Tallahatchie Hunts guides duck and deer hunts across 8,000 acres of Mississippi Delta farmland at the confluence of the Tallahatchie, Coldwater, and Yocona rivers, inside the Mississippi Flyway. Winter backwater flooding turns the fields into prime pit-blind duck ground, while the same acreage has built a reputation for record-book whitetail bucks, with the local deer population having grown substantially since the early 1990s. Guide Mike “Catfish” Flautt has hunted this specific ground for more than 50 years, giving the operation a level of local knowledge that’s hard to replicate on leased land elsewhere. Bow and rifle hunts are both available for deer season. Booking runs through an online real-time reservation system, and gift certificates are available for hunters buying a trip for someone else. Between the flooded timber for ducks and the mature bucks coming off the same farmland, Tallahatchie covers two very different hunts on one property.
